Do you have Christian parents on your Christmas list? Are you looking for a great gift for your spouse? Are you thinking of ideas for presents friends and relatives can give you? While the Bible is always your best resource for finding the answers you need in life, sometimes it helps to have some extra practical ideas or encouragement from someone who has walked in your shoes.
Below is a list of some of my favorite books for Christian parents. Not all of them are specifically Christian and I may not agree with 100% of everything in them, but there is so much value, they are absolutely worth reading. (Most of these books I have reviewed individually on this blog at some point, so feel free to search this site for a more detailed review.) I have found they have a lot of practical ideas and encouragement in my Christian parenting journey. I have also included links to Amazon so you can read more details and start comparing prices to your favorite booksellers.
Fervent by Priscilla Shirer
Whit’s End Mealtime Devotions by John Avery Whittaker
Family Night Tool Chest – Wisdom Life Skills by Weidmann and Bruner (Note: There are several in this series on different topics and by different authors.)
Family Devotions by Josh McDowell
Culture and God
Sex, Your Child and God
Money and God
Smart Money, Smart Kids by Dave Ramsey and Rachel Cruze (The Ramsey organization has a variety of other tools including a great dvd series for teens.)
Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman (Not a Christian book, but every mother of girls I know lists this as a must read before your daughter even starts school.)
After You Drop Them Off by Jeramy Clark
Give the gift of helping a Christian parent or two on their journey. It’s such an important path and it’s not always easy. These books along with scripture can help the Christian parents you love be more successful as they point their kids towards God.
